PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT III - 2004
By Linda L. Heim, Deputy Clerk – Municipality of Anchorage,
Alaska
It’s come down to this – the end of
our week
and now each of us is expected to speak.
A power point on two legs I certainly am not
but let me talk about all the new insights I’ve got.
I now know I’m an auditory learner and an ISFT
and that leadership integrity is a huge responsibility.
I’ve learned that each of us is truly unique
and if you talk about someone – that’s the next person to whom you
must speak!
I’ve learned to use criteria to make those decisions I delay
and to try to be self-aware in each moment of the day.
I must always be watchful of my communication cues
and to be more careful about which ones that I use.
I can jazz up our website and whip the office into shape
and our important records will now be quite safe.
I’ve learned that cheerleaders have fun all the time,
and to stay out of their way in the breakfast line.
So, if you hear me – Clap once -
If you hear me – Clap twice.
Being with all of you has been incredibly nice.
Congratulations to each of you on earning your CMC
and thank you for sharing this wonderful week with me. |
